Livorno and Hermann Göring Division vs 505th PIR and 16th Infantry

Description

Sicily, 1943
Battle of Gela was the opening engagement of the American portion of the Allied Invasion of Sicily. While the British have landed in the east, the Americans have landed in the west and the first of these troops are the 505th paratroopers. These troops who find themselfs placed inbetween the landing zone and a determined enemy force of Italians and Germans have to hold at all costs.

If the Americans are pushed back into the sea at Gela then it would spell disaster for the Allied invasion and maybe even the war...

General informations

  • On the other side of Sicily, the Americans play defensive to the joint attacks from German and Italian mechanised units
  • Americans are more green against the Axis grey and black uniforms
  • The Axis forces have a Tiger and an SPAA. The American forces have two Bazooka teams and a looted Italian artilery cannon
  • Once again this is a WW2 mission played with our new LV2-ish body armor to nerf small caliber automatic guns while keeping rifles deadly, also helps aginst HE too
  • The 505th spawn around Priolo, while the 16th are still mustering around Gela
